Product Review: Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer by Benefit Cosmetics of San Francisco

Image
When Influenster.com contacted me to let me know I was receiving a voxbox with a product in it for me to review, I was ecstatic. I was even happier when I realized it was an under eye concealer because I always have dark circles due to extremely bad allergies. I'm just about allergic to everything outside!
Since I work from home, I don't always wear makeup like I use to when I had to go into an office, so one of the first chances I had to test out the Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer by Benefit Cosmetics of San Francisco was when I went to see the Broadway show Cats when it was in Atlanta. It was the perfect time to try it out because I had bronchitis, and the circles under my eyes were exceptionally dark.
The Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer went on smoothly and was cakeless as promised by Benefit Cosmetics of San Francisco. It blended well into my foundation and the concealer actually matched my skin tones extremely well. Most makeup tends to be too dark for me, even the lightest of th…

Product Review: Head & Shoulders Citrus Fresh 2 in 1 Dandruff Shampoo & Conditioner

Image
Influenster.com sent me a VoxBox that had a full size bottle of Head and Shoulders Citrus Fresh 2 in 1 Pyrithione Zinc Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner. It is supposed to promote an "Invigorated Scalp and Shiny Hair" and is infused with yuzu and mint essence. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review of the product.
Who doesn't enjoy getting something for free to try out? I definitely enjoy and appreciate being able to test out free products. There were a few things I enjoyed about this Head and Shoulders Citrus Fresh 2 in 1 Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner.
It definitely made my scalp tingle, but in a good way. I could tell it was doing its job to keep me from having dandruff. Normally, when I use shampoo and conditioner that are combined into one product, it doesn't detangle my hair, but the Head and Shoulders Citrus Fresh 2 in 1 did a great job in conditioning my hair. On top of that, it left my hair looking very shiny and soft to the touch.…

Product Review: TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner & Beauty-Full Volume Shampoo

Image
When I received complimentary samples of TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner and Beauty-Full Volume Shampoo from Influenster.com, I was super excited to try the products out. I waited until the weekend so I could take time with doing my hair to see how it really worked. The catch of using this particular shampoo and conditioner is that you have to "reverse your routine" by using the conditioner first and the shampoo last. To give the products a fair test, I even went out and bought full size bottles of the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner and Beauty-Full Volume Shampoo after I used the sample packages. There were some definite benefits and some definite downfalls for me.
One of the benefits of using the conditioner first was that it did make my hair feel very soft after I washed it out. It even seemed to help with my split ends. Since I don't wear product in my hair very often (gel, mousse, or hairspray), my hair tends to get extremely friz…

Product Review: Dove Go Fresh Advanced Care Apple & White Tea Antiperspirant Deodorant Stick

Image
In December, I received my second VoxBox from Influenster.com. The product I received was the Dove Go Fresh Advanced Care Apple and White Tea Antiperspirant Deodorant Stick from Influenster.com for free for me to test and give my honest review of the product.
When I heard that the scent of the Dove Go Fresh Advanced Care Antiperspirant Deodorant Stick was Apple and White Tea, I thought that the scent would either be a phenomenal fragrance or smell like something an old lady would wear (or like bug spray).
So, when I opened up the deodorant for the first time and sniffed it, I was pleasantly surprised. The apple scent is very pungent, so I hardly noticed the white tea scent. The only drawback is that it is a bit overpowering when you first put it on, so it might not be good for those who have allergies to fragrances. I'm not sure how I feel about smelling like apples when I sweat though. Although, it's definitely better to smell like apples than emit body odor. Something that…
