Seven-Year Witch (Witch Way Librarian Mysteries, #2)   by Angela M. Sanders   opens with Sam and Fiona Wilfred, along with their son, moving into Big House next door to the town library. The land Sam sold to a couple to build a retreat on is said to be cursed.  The town librarian, Josie Way, is learning how to use her birthright, witchcraft, through letters her grandmother left her. This lesson has to do with curses. When someone is murdered and Fiona goes missing, the town believes it's the work of Sam's cursed land. Will Josie learn her grandmother's lesson in time to break the curse? Taking place approximately six months after the first book ended, the author does a great job at reintroducing all of the characters and the backstory in the series without being redundant. The House On Tradd Street (Tradd Street #1)  by Karen White is the first book in a series about Melanie, a real estate agent, who lives in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She recently inherited a home in Charleston that's supposedly haunted by ghosts of the past, and she's in the process of renovating it to sell. When an author requests access to the house to investigate it's history, strange things start happening. I found out about this series when the book club I belong to was reading the first book in a spin off of the Tradd Street series called The Shop on Royal Street (Royal Street, #1) . I enjoyed the spin off so much that I had to give this book a whirl. Boy, was I glad that I did because I absolutely loved The House On Tradd Street . Stories that have a bit of paranormal elements in it have always interested me, and I don't mind a little bit of romance either. This book has both of those elements along with a mystery. Published in July 2010, Still Missing by Chevy Stevens is a novel about a 32-year old real estate agent named Annie O'Sullivan who is abducted from an open house and held captive in a remote mountain cabin. Her experiences of being held captive are told through sessions with her psychiatrist and alternate with her struggle to put her life back together after escaping. This was a novel that one of the book clubs I belonged to had selected to discuss in early 2011. For whatever reason, I only read approximately five pages of the book, never finished the book, and didn't attend the meeting. I finally decided to pick the book up and actually read it, and I was glad that I did.  The most interesting thing about this book is that it was published not too long before Emma Donoghue's Room , and their plots are somewhat similar.
