The Little Bee  by Nicola Killen  is a children's picture book about a girl name Ollie who follows a bee to a magical, secret garden. But, the next day, the beautiful garden was gone, and the little girl misses her new friends. What will she do? This beautiful book has an expected publication date of May 5, 2026. I'd like to thank NetGalley, Simon and Schuster Children's Publishing, and Beach Lane Books for approving my request for a digital Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of The Little Bee . I received a copy for free in exchange for my honest review. Nicola Killen wrote such a beautifully worded story that I found myself immersed in the story, and I'm not even the target audience. It's a charming tale that should encourage children to explore nature and make them want to plant their own secret garden.  Equally beautiful were the illustrations. One of the Girls by Lucy Clarke opens with six friends arriving in Greece to celebrate an upcoming wedding. Each one of the women have a secret, and one of them is determined to make sure the wedding doesn't happen. And, one of them ends up dead.

Thank you to NetGalley, Penguin Group Putnam, and G.P. Putnam's Sons for a digital Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of One of the Girls by Lucy Clarke. I was ecstatic to be selected to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

Wow! I'm at a loss of what to say about One of the Girls because it was that fantastic. Fun. Engrossing. Well Written. Unputdownable. These are just a few words I'd use to describe this novel. 

There were red herrings galore. With that being said, I had my suspicions that the "killer" was one of two people, and one of them ended up being the killer, so I was happy with my deduction. On the other hand, I couldn't figure out who the victim was going to be, and I was completely surprised by who it was. I loved the fact that everyone in One of the Girls had a secret that they were hiding and several of those secrets ended up connecting together.

Prior to receiving this book from NetGalley, I wasn't familiar with the author Lucy Clarke, but now, I am a huge fan. I can't wait to read the other books she's written, and I'm looking forward to reading any new books she publishes. Five out of five stars is what I gave One of the Girls by Lucy Clarke.

The Writer by James Patterson and J.D. Barker  was published on March 17, 2025. It opens with Detective Declan Shaw at a closed subway station trying to work up the nerve to commit suicide when he receives a call from his partner about a break in and homicide at the home of a true crime author. Shaw makes his way to the crime scene to work the case, and in a turn of events, Declan comes under scrutiny in another case loosely connected to this new case.
