Influenster.com sent me a VoxBox that had a full size bottle of Head and Shoulders Citrus Fresh 2 in 1 Pyrithione Zinc Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner. It is supposed to promote an "Invigorated Scalp and Shiny Hair" and is infused with yuzu and mint essence. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review of the product.
Who doesn't enjoy getting something for free to try out? I definitely enjoy and appreciate being able to test out free products. There were a few things I enjoyed about this Head and Shoulders Citrus Fresh 2 in 1 Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner.
It definitely made my scalp tingle, but in a good way. I could tell it was doing its job to keep me from having dandruff. Normally, when I use shampoo and conditioner that are combined into one product, it doesn't detangle my hair, but the Head and Shoulders Citrus Fresh 2 in 1 did a great job in conditioning my hair. On top of that, it left my hair looking very shiny and soft to the touch. The product also had a nice smell to it, which reminds me of a drink called a fuzzy navel. I was worried about the shampoo and conditioner combo leaving my hair looking greasy, but my hair was left looking very clean. I was able to get away with washing my hair every other day as well, which was a nice surprise as I have very oily hair near the scalp and dry hair towards the bottom.
The downfalls of this product is that if there is any humidity in the air, it does not help with keeping the frizz out of your hair. It also doesn't help with giving your hair any volume, and since I have very fine hair, I definitely need help in that department. The last thing that I didn't like is that when my hair was still wet or damp, it felt like there was a film or residue in my hair, almost like I didn't wash out all of the product. However, once my hair is dry, it feels completely fine.
All in all, the positives outweighed the negatives by a landslide. I would definitely recommend using this product if you suffer from dandruff. Just make sure to use an additional product if your hair tends to frizz when it is humid outside.
Here is the video to the product reveal of when we received the Head and Shoulders Citrus Fresh 2 in 1 Pyrithione Zinc Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner in the mail.
The End of Her by Shari Lapena is about a married couple, Stephanie and Patrick, and their colicky newborn twin girls. As the couple struggle with the pitfalls of being new parents, a woman from Patrick's past comes to town and leverages a horrific accusation towards him . . . that Patrick killed his first wife and unborn child. He swears he's innocent and that Erica is just trying to blackmail them. If there is ever a book that is similar to Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl , then Shari Lapena's The End of Her is the book of all books you can compare it to. When I finished The End of Her , I was extremely angry at the ending. This time, I didn't throw the book across the room like I did when I finished Gone Girl , but I was just as outraged. I won't say more than that as not to ruin it for those who haven't read The End of Her . With that being said, this novel was exceptionally well written, and it kept engaged throughout the story. I wasn't sure what would
The Cuckoo's Calling (Comoran Strike, #1) by Robert Galbraith opens with Comoran Strike working as a private investigator in London, England. When John Bristow hires Comoran Strike to investigate the death of his sister Lula Landry, a famous supermodel, Strike is thrown into the world of celebrities as he investigates the case. I read this book for one of the book clubs I was in, and had I not been in the book club, I'm not sure if I would have picked up this novel or not. When it was released it became public knowledge relatively quick that Robert Galbraith was actually J.K. Rowling writing under a pseudonym. It didn't really surprise me that she used one as I'm sure she wanted the book to be reviewed more honestly and not compared to her Harry Potter book series for children. While I did enjoy The Cuckoo's Calling immensely, it did follow the typical formula for books in the mystery and thriller categories. I expected a lot more from J.K. Rowling, so I didn'
One particular weekend night, I was watching television, and a commercial came on advertising Mr. Clean: Clean Freak Deep Cleaning Mist. In the ad, it mentioned that it would take off grime and dirt after spraying it on the surface and wiping it off with a simple swipe. It went on to mention that it could be used in the bathroom, and I thought, "I really need to try this product on my bathtub." Excited, I couldn't wait to buy it and looked for it at the grocery store the next day while I was getting my weekly groceries. I wasn't expecting to actually find it in stores yet because it usually takes the stores in my area a few weeks to get products in stock after I see it advertised on television. Much to my surprise and delight, my local Kroger Grocery Store actually had the Mr. Clean: Clean Freak Deep Cleaning Mist in stock and in no less than two scents. I grabbed the Gain Scent bottle and stuck it in my grocery cart. Eventually, I decided to use it to cle
April 2009, I flew into Boston Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts and checked into my hotel in Back Bay, where I would be staying over Easter weekend. During my stay, I was awoken one night in the wee hours by police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances speeding down the road with their lights and sirens on. I finally fell back asleep and didn't think too much of all the commotion during my trip. Several days after returning home, the local news aired a story detailing crimes that took place in Boston and Rhode Island, and Philip Markoff was arrested for them. When I heard this, I instantly knew that all that commotion that woke me up had to be tied to this news story, and it gave me chills. Any time I heard an update on Markoff, who was dubbed The Craigslist Killer , I was glued to the television, and of course, I watched the 48 Hours Mystery episode of these crimes. Then, news coverage began to diminish, and I didn't quite have the need to know all the nitty g
One by One by Ruth Ware is about a corporate retreat for a social media app called Snoop, and the employees get snowed in at a ski resort due to an avalanche. When one of the owners turns up missing and an employee is murdered, everyone becomes a suspect. How many will survive? Reminiscent of Agatha Christie's And Then There Was None , Ruth Ware tells a story from two different characters perspectives, both who have deep, dark secrets. The one perspective is from Erin, who works at the French chalet and the other perspective is told from Liz, who is a former employee of Snoop. Relatively early, I thought that the killer had to be one of the two women since we only hear the story from their perspectives, but as the story progressed, I began to second guess myself as there are quite a few red herrings. After a while, I just decided against trying to deduce who the killer was and let the story take me on the ride of a lifetime. I loved the fact that Snoop, the company holding the cor
