Book Review: Bridal Shower Murder (Lucy Stone, #31) by Leslie Meier

Bridal Shower Murder (Lucy Stone, #31)  by Leslie Meier  opens with Lucy Stone rushing home to clean house for Zoe who is bringing home her boyfriend Chad. While there, Zoe and Chad announce their engagement but want to keep it a secret for a bit.  When a nosy busybody named Janice gets the best of Lucy, the mother of the bride blurts out Zoe's secret. Chaos ensues with a murder and an overdose. NetGalley, thank you for approving me to receive an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of Bridal Shower Murder .  I've come to love Leslie Meier's Lucy Stone cozy mystery series and know that I will automatically read any book in this series without reading the synopsis. I have to say that this was one of the best stories in the series for multiple reasons. The first reason is that Lucy's husband isn't quite so sexist, which is refreshing for a change. I dislike it when he acts like a caveman who expects Lucy to be a housewife and wait on him hand and foot. What really surprised me...

Product Review: Color Street Nail Strips, Moon River

product review color street moon river

I finally bit the bullet and purchased some Color Street Nail Strips a few months ago when one of their sales representatives was selling them at a local fundraiser. I bought two packs for myself in the colors of Moon River and Inner Strength.

The Color Street Representative demonstrated how to put the nail strips on, and it seemed relatively easy. I recently decided to put on the Moon River nail strips because I was didn't have time to wait for regular nail polish to dry. It only took approximately ten minutes for the nail strips to set and dry!

Each package of nail strips also includes a wipe to clean off your nails and a mini nail file. The nail file in the package I put on is extremely cute! I loved the fact that directions are provided on each package and even tells you how to watch YouTube Videos of the process of putting on the nail strips. Putting them on was just as easy as the demonstration given by the rep. However, I did mess them up a little bit, which is to be expected since it was my first time using them. Fortunately, the errors I did make when putting on the Color Street Nail Strips isn't very noticeable unless you look closely. Other than that, my nails look like they were professionally done in my opinion.

The nail strips are supposed to last for up to fourteen days. With that being said, I noticed the polish rubbing off slightly after three or four days, but it wasn't too noticeable unless you looked really close to my nails. Within a week of having the nail strips on, the polish chipped off of one of my nails. All in all, I was pleased with the way they held up, and I gave it five out of five stars.
