Bridal Shower Murder (Lucy Stone, #31)  by Leslie Meier  opens with Lucy Stone rushing home to clean house for Zoe who is bringing home her boyfriend Chad. While there, Zoe and Chad announce their engagement but want to keep it a secret for a bit.  When a nosy busybody named Janice gets the best of Lucy, the mother of the bride blurts out Zoe's secret. Chaos ensues with a murder and an overdose. NetGalley, thank you for approving me to receive an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of Bridal Shower Murder .  I've come to love Leslie Meier's Lucy Stone cozy mystery series and know that I will automatically read any book in this series without reading the synopsis. I have to say that this was one of the best stories in the series for multiple reasons. The first reason is that Lucy's husband isn't quite so sexist, which is refreshing for a change. I dislike it when he acts like a caveman who expects Lucy to be a housewife and wait on him hand and foot. What really surprised me...

Book Review: Turbo Twenty-Three (Stephanie Plum, #23) by Janet Evanovich

In Turbo Twenty-Three (Stephanie Plum, #23) by Janet Evanovich, Stephanie Plum's latest bail jumper, Larry Virgil, decides to commit a similar crime that he was already arrested for by hijacking an eighteen wheeler full of Bogart Ice Cream. When he flees from Stephanie and Lula, they decide to pursue him in the stolen truck, but then, a dead body covered in chocolate and nuts falls out of the trailer when they open it. Who killed this person and made him look like a Bogart Bar? 

What can I say about about this installment of the Stephanie Plum book series? I absolutely enjoyed Turbo Twenty-Three (Stephanie Plum, #23). It did read slightly different than some of her other books in the series, but I found it to be extremely entertaining, and I had some laugh out loud moments. 

However, there was one moment I didn't care for . . . Stephanie slept with Ranger even though she's engaged to be engaged with Joe Morelli. I am a bit tired of the "love triangle". Also, if you're afraid of clowns, this may not be the book for you. I won't go into details because it may spoil parts of the book. 

Five out of five stars is what I gave Janet Evanovich's Turbo Twenty-Two (Stephanie Plum, #23). If you enjoyed this book, I'd recommend Spying in High Heels (High Heels, #1) by Gemma Halliday.

Book Review: Dirty Thirty (Stephanie Plum, #30) by Janet Evanovich Dirty Thirty (Stephanie Plum, #30) by Janet Evanovich  is the latest installment in the Stephanie Plum book series and opens with Joe Morelli asking Stephanie to dog sit his dog Bob while he is out of town testifying at a trial.  The typical chaos ensues when Stephanie has to bring Bob along to apprehend all of her FTAs and has her asking herself if she wants to be married. Each book in this series typically follows the same formula and is wrapped up in a neat, tidy bow at the end.  It's because of this that I enjoy the series . . . Product Review: Mr. Clean: Clean Freak Deep Cleaning Mist - Gain Scent

One particular weekend night, I was watching television, and a commercial came on advertising Mr. Clean: Clean Freak Deep Cleaning Mist. In the ad, it mentioned that it would take off grime and dirt after spraying it on the surface and wiping it off with a simple swipe. It went on to mention that it could be used in the bathroom, and I thought, "I really need to try this product on my bathtub." Excited, I couldn't wait to buy it and looked for it at the grocery store the next day while I was getting my weekly groceries. I wasn't expecting to actually find it in stores yet because it usually takes the stores in my area a few weeks to get products in stock after I see it advertised on television. Much to my surprise and delight, my local Kroger Grocery Store actually had the Mr. Clean: Clean Freak Deep Cleaning Mist in stock and in no less than two scents.
