Nightmare On Nightmare Street by R.L. Stine opens with Joe Ferber, his sister Sadie, and their parents moving into a haunted house on Nightmare Street. Their house has a creepy doll, a cemetery in the basement, and voices in the walls. Joe has trouble falling asleep that first night. As he tries to fall asleep, strange things keep happening, and when he finally dies catch some shut eye, he has nightmares. We also meet Shawn and his little sister named Addie, and it appears that they live in the same house. Shawn is having terrible nightmares, and strange things are happening to him. Can Joe and Shawn figure out what is real and what isn't before it's too late? I'd like to extend a huge thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for approving my request for an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of this middle grade novel. As a tween and teen, I was a huge fan of R.L. Stine's Fear Street series, so I was absolutely thrilled to receive a copy for free in exchange for my hon...

Book Review: Bait and Witch (Witch Way Librarian Mysteries, #1) by Angela M. Sanders

The Running Bibliophile's Book Review of Bait and Witch by Angela M. Sanders
Bait and Witch (Witch Way Librarian Mysteries, #1)
 by Angela M. Sanders
opens with Josie Way arriving in Wilfred, Oregon to start a new position as the town's librarian, a position she took when she overheard a corruption plan while employed at the Library of Congress and became a target. While working and hiding out on the opposite coast, she hopes she isn't found before the corruption case goes to trial and soon realizes that this small town has a lot of drama surrounding it when she finds a dead body and learns that the library is about to be bulldozed.

I first learned of this series when I received an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of Witch Upon A Star (Witch Way Librarian Mysteries, #4) from NetGalley and then an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of The Witch is Back (Witch Way Librarian Mysteries, #6) from NetGalley. Since I loved both of these books, I had to go back to the beginning of the series and read Bait and Witch, and I was not disappointed in the least. I absolutely LOVED this story.

From the very first page, I was hooked and engaged. I couldn't read Bait and Witch fast enough. At times, I found myself rushing and having to reread a few sentences because I was going through the book that quickly! The characters are extremely likable with the exception of one or two of them, but Josie, Darla, Sam, and Rodney are my favorites.

Although I already knew the outcome of the library mystery, I was sure who the culprit was when it came to who murdered the stranger on the library grounds. There were clues as to who it was, but I didn't put it together for whatever ever reason. Angela M. Sanders is a fabulous author in my opinion, and I can't wait to read the other three books in the six book series that I haven't gotten to yet. Five out of five stars is what I gave Bait and Witch (Witch Way Librarian Mysteries, #1) by Angela M. Sanders.
