Book Review: Missing Since Monday by Ann M. Martin

Missing Since Monday by Ann M. Martin follows Maggie and her older brother when their father and stepmother leave on a long-delayed honeymoon, trusting the siblings to care for their four-year-old half sister, Courtenay. When Courtenay fails to come home from daycare one Monday afternoon, Maggie and her brother are thrust into a frightening mystery. With no adults around to help, they must piece together what happened and find a way to alert their parents before it’s too late. This standalone novel for readers ages eight to twelve was one I completely missed as a kid, but as an adult and a longtime fan of Ann M. Martin’s The Baby-Sitters Club  series, I couldn’t resist picking it up. The first chapter or two felt a bit choppy to me at first, but once the story found its footing, everything began to come together nicely . Book Review: We All Stir The Pot To End Hunger! by Misty Lee Coolidge with Bobbie Bensur

Book Review of We All Stir The Pot To End Hunger! by Misty Lee Coolidge with Bobbie Bensur
We All Stir The Pot To End Hunger! by Misty Lee Coolidge with Bobbie Bensur is a children's picture book set in a food pantry.  It's located in an unknown city and talks about how people contribute to food pantry . . . anything and everything from donating food to volunteering time.

I was thrilled when I was approved by NetGalley and Paw Prints Publishing to receive this book for free in exchange for my honest review.  Originally expected to be published on November 15 of this year, We All Stir The Pot To End Hunger! by Misty Lee Coolidge with Bobbie Bensur came out November 29, 2022.

There were some great life lessons in We All Stir The Pot To End Hunger! told in a way that children could understand.  Don't worry, it's not sanctimonious in the least bit.  The illustrations were amazing as well.  This is the perfect book to help children realize that there are families that don't have enough to eat.

I love the fact that some of the proceeds from the book will go to supporting the mission of Feeding America.  On top of that, there were some recipes at the end of the book that families can fix.

Five out of five stars is what I give We All Stir The Pot To End Hunger! by Misty Lee Coolidge with Bobbie Bensur.
